The Center for Health Enhancement at the University of New Hampshire regularly offers a 10-week Weight
Management Program for members of the faculty and staff, as well as
individuals from the local community. The program is designed to teach
participants practical strategies of diet and weight management in addition to
the importance weight management has in maintaining one's health. The
enrollment for each session is typically limited to 20 participants in order to facilitate
individual attention. In general the weekly meetings
involve a brief discussion on a nutrition topic, samples of different foods, followed by
a meeting with a personal nutrition and exercise student assistant.
